PEEL levels + descriptions

Enzyme Peel This is generally the lightest level “peel” that you can receive. Skin will feel tight with little to no peeling or downtime. Slight flaking may occur, this will vary based upon your skin, please ask your professional aesthetician what to expect at the time of your treatment. An enzyme peel is perfect for a special occasion and/or to include in your monthly treatment. We offer various enzyme peel options and levels, this allows us to tailor each treatment to your desired goals and to modify the depth of the enzyme, allowing your skin expert to optimally customize this treatment.

Smoother more vibrant skin.

Light Chemical Peel | Light Organic Peel This lower level peel will be tailored based upon your professional aesthetician’s skin assessment at the time of the treatment. Skin can tend to be pink and taught day of treatment. Day 3-5 skin will feel dry and may lightly flake and/or peel. There is minimal downtime, approximately 3 days. A more intensive, quick and effective monthly treatment. Smoother more even-toned skin.

Medium Chemical Peel | Medium Organic Peel This medium level peel. Post treatment your skin will be rosy, warm, tight, possible sunburn like feeling. Day 3 of treatment, skin may feel dry. Day 3-5 there will be flaking with a little more skin irritation than a light peel. Downtime is 5-7 days and requires post care. A deeper treatment for deeper results, more recovery time needed.

Deep Chemical Peel | Deep Organic Peel

At skinbio365, we perform a deep level peel with “cooling technology ”, this allows the peel to penetrate at a deeper level without causing the normal sensitivity and burning sensation as other deep peels can. There will be more redness, tightness to the skin, and a more rough texture post treatment. A series of three treatments is required. Post care is a must with a downtime of 7-10 days. Refined and radiant skin with an all over improved appearance.

questions?

I have multiple skin concerns that I want to correct. What peel should I choose?  If this is your first treatment with skinbio365, you will need to schedule the 90 MINUTE CUSTOM CONSULT AND TREATMENT, this is a CORRECTIVE treatment that will ensure your skin is properly prepared for a peel. After the initial custom treatment, we will discuss and book the peel that best suits your skin now and your skin needs. All of our peels are customized to address multiple skin concerns, we will decide together what type will best suit your skin and lifestyle.

Will a deep peel take care of all my skin concerns? Deep peeling is a process and results are not immediate. Healthy skin takes time, commitment, and consistency. Every client is different, so every treatment will be modified as needed. The number of treatments needed will vary that you will require. Proper home care is beneficial to assist in the results of the treatments. With each treatment, in combination with home care, you will continue to see healthy changes and improvements in your skin.

Will I start peeling right away? Cell turnover is different for each client, generally skin dryness will start day 2-3 after the treatment and flaking/peeling will start day 3-5. Whether you flake or peel will also depend on the type and level of peel treatment you receive. Be sure to discuss post care and expectations with your skin therapist at the time of treatment.

How often should I get a peel? Everyone is different. Ask us during your next visit and we will help you determine what is best suited for your skin and lifestyle.

I have darker skin. Are peels safe for me?  Yes absolutely! We have peels that are formulated for all skin types.

I am pregnant/nursing. Can I get a peel? No unfortunately. You can however get several of our enzyme peels. We suggest booking our 90 MINUTE CUSTOM CONSULT AND TREATMENT first.

I am using prescription acne medication or creams. Can I get a peel? Yes you can, however, you must first stop using all prescribed medications and topical treatments for 4 weeks prior to receiving a treatment.

What will I look like during the peeling process & can I wear makeup to cover it? The recovery/peeling process is different for everyone. It generally is not as bad as most people think. Please expect your skin to possibly have a rough texture, sensitivity, and some irritation. Your skin will be flaking and/or peeling, similar to what happens after a sunburn. Be sure to keep your post care treatment products on hand to reduce any noticeable dry/flaky skin and to assist in the skin recovery process. We suggest taking a break from makeup foundation and powders, as your skin will have a rough texture and may cause additional dryness, not allowing your skin to recovery as well. If needed, try mixing tinted DBH EGF Balm with your favorite moisturizer.
